As Busy As Ever...It's been a busy week or so. I made Trailblazer at work, so I'm going through this mini-MIT program right now, working in all of these job catergories from Greeter to Smoker to Prep and Inventory...fun stuff. When I'm done with all of this I'm off to Orlando for Management training.
Ken's been hanging in there at the Comp. He found out that the job he had two interviews for pulled a thirty-day hiring freeze. The funny thing is that they were going to hire him, or so his friend Shonge, who works for the company says. He's just doing the best that he can right now with CompUSA, trying to hold it together for the sake of our insurance benefits if nothing else.
Jack's got two new teeth, bringing the total to six now. He loves to bite on anything and everything, people included. He's become the little Lord of Destruction, pulling things off of floor-level shelves such as DVD's and videos, and his toys are absolutely everywhere. Night time is clean-up time. It doesn't make sense to do it at any other time, as he'll just trash the house all over again. He's doing well, growing up fast, getting ready to start walking on his own soon, not that we're in any hurry for that just yet. He's a haul-ass little crawler as it is.
The family is doing well. We all have things that we're doing, but we're trying to stay in close proximity of one another...it makes for a better family life. Ken and I still work opposite one another, but this coming weekend we'll have both our days off together for a change. I'm calling Friday for my day to sleep in, and I'll give Sunday to Ken. Jackson can have Saturday...I'm dreaming, but it's a nice dream. Hey, a mother can hope, can't she?
